John O’Neill

John O’Neill was named Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Americas in January 2026. In this role, he oversees end-to-end operations across the region, including U.S. and Canada field operations, Zipcar, Truck, Local Market, Fleet Operations, and Workforce Planning. Prior to this, Mr. O’Neill served as Senior Vice President, U.S. Operations. His 34-year career with Avis Budget Group spans various senior leadership roles, both field and functional, across the country and headquarters. Mr. O’Neill joined Avis Budget Group with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Administration from the University of Miami.
